Jackson Mahomes’ Tuesday court hearing, concerning felony charges of sexual battery, has been postponed due to a request by his defense attorneys, with a scheduling conference now established for Tuesday instead.
The 22-year-old – who is the brother of Patrick Mahomes – is going through legal proceedings as he is accused of forcefully kissing the owner of a Kansas City-area restaurant on February 25.

The incident, which was seemingly caught on surveillance video, showed Jackson grabbing the woman by the neck before kissing her multiple times.
He was subsequently arrested and logged into the Johnson County Detention Center, before being released on bail after meeting a 100,000 dollar bond.
“He forcibly kissed me out of nowhere,” the woman said to TMZ at the time.
However, that claim is rejected by Jackson Mahomes‘ legal team.
“Our investigation has revealed substantial evidence refuting the claims of Jackson‘s accuser, including the statements of several witnesses,” Brandan Davies, his attorney, has said.
Jackson Mahomes’ legal team call for a postponement
The preliminary hearing was scheduled for August 29, but delayed when the judge in the case developed COVID-19 and it was re-scheduled for October 24.
Now, it has been delayed again, as Jackson Mahomes‘ defense attorneys asked for a continuance.
As a result, there is now going to be a scheduling conference held this Tuesday, October 24, at 13:30 local time.
Taylor Swift slammed for hanging out with Jackson Mahomes
In the Kansas City Chiefs‘ 31-17 Week Seven victory over the Los Angeles Chargers at the Arrowhead Stadium, Jackson Mahomes watched on from an executive box, where Taylor Swift was present too.

Swift was criticized by fans for associating herself with Jackson, considering his trial for sexual crimes, with fans describing her as betraying her support for victims of assaulted women.
“So much for Taylor championing all the women who have been assaulted… as she cheers and schmucks it up with Jackson Mahomes who is on trial for sexually assaulting a woman and it’s all on tape,” wrote one user on X, previously called Twitter.
“Does Taylor hanging with Jackson Mahomes and them not sit right for anyone else… he’s literally on trial for sexual assault and battery… and it’s on camera… idk,” another added.
