SEC announces three kickoff, television options for Georgia vs Ole Miss


Georgia will have to wait to find out its kickoff time for the seventh SEC game of the season. The conference announced on Monday that CBS will utilize the six-day option for the Nov. 11 3:30 p.m. ET time slot between Georgia and Ole Miss, Florida at LSU, or Tennessee at Missouri. CBS will announce its selection after games of November 4. If Georgia vs Ole Miss is not selected for the CBS SEC Game of the Week, it will kickoff either at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN or 7:30 p.m. on the SEC Network.

So far this season Georgia has landed five games on CBS, four being 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff times, with South Carolina, Auburn, Florida, and this weekend’s matchup against Missouri. Georgia also took on Vanderbilt on CBS, with that matchup taking place at Noon ET. The Bulldogs faced UT Martin at 6 p.m., took on Ball State at 12 p.m., played UAB at 7:30 p.m., and hosted Kentucky at 7 p.m.

Georgia enters Week 10 with an 8-0 record that includes a 48-7 win over UT Martin, a 45-3 win over Ball State, a 24-14 win over South Carolina, a 49-21 win over UAB,  a 27-20 win at Auburn, a 51-13 win against Kentucky, a 37-20 win at Vanderbilt, and a 43-20 win over Florida.

Ole Miss is 7-1 on the season, with a 4-1 Southeastern Conference record. with wins over Mercer, Tulane, Georgia Tech, LSU, Arkansas, Auburn, and Vanderbilt, and a road loss to Alabama. The Rebels take on Texas A&M at home this weekend. ESPN currently gives Georgia a 70.5 percent chance of winning the game against Ole Miss.  Georgia leads the series 32-12-1 all-time, with Ole Miss having vacated the 45-14 home win over Kirby Smart in 2016 and Georgia having won the previous 10 matchups. In that last game, Ole Miss and quarterback Chad Kelly looked unstoppable in every facet of the game. The senior signal caller completed 18 of 24 passes 282 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for four times for a team-high 54 yards and a touchdown. Rebels tight end Evan Engram hauled in six of seven targets on the day for 95 yards. The Rebels carried a 31-0 lead into halftime and moved it to 45-0 before the Bulldogs even got on the scoreboard.
