On Monday’s episode of Breakfast Television, Sean filled in Meredith on the pros and cons of Daylight Saving Time.

While the clocks going back gives us more light in the mornings, Sean said that some experts think it would be healthier for humans to stick with the sun’s natural rise and fall.

The television star explained: “There has been some push, or rather some talk, here in Ontario to stick to one time. But, New York would have to start that first and then Ontario would follow.”

He then asked: “So should we stick to standard time or maybe Daylight Saving Time with a little more daylight at the end?

“If we did stick with Daylight Saving Time, Melissa, the sun wouldn’t rise here in Toronto until 9a.m. Do you have a preference?”

Melissa responded: “I mean, we debate this every time the clocks change. I’m just going to go with the flow, you know, just accept that this is what we have to deal with. Do you have a preference? What are you thinking, Sean?”

Sean, reporting during a pitch-black morning, said: “You know what? There’s an advantage to having a little bit more daylight at the end of the day, but working this gig it’s nice when it’s six o’clock and it’s dark out, you can go…” the broadcaster then dropped his head to the side and mimed snoring, suggesting he was more than ready for bed after his early morning.

“You know, it’s nice to sleep a little earlier,” he added.

Melissa then concluded: “Certainly. Well, thanks for that, Sean, we’ll be catching up with you a little later again this morning,” before warning: “Please stay awake with us.”

SPOOKY SLIP UP

Melissa’s bold words came after her fellow host Sid Seixeiro, 46, stormed off set on October 31.

Sid appeared alongside to Meredith Shaw during a spooky segment on their Halloween special.

Sid started the show with a serious look on his face and said: “It’s 3:25 a.m.”

Meredith, dressed in a black sweatsuit, emphasized: “A.m.”

Sid pointed around him and continued: “We want to know, with it being Halloween, what other vibes exist.

“So we have some actual ghost hunters in the building.”

The presenter was cut off, as a ghost-detecting device off-camera spoke out and said: “Disregard.”

Startled, both Sid and Meredith looked down.

Meredith repeated: “Disregard?”

Sid looked worried and replied: “No, I’m not going to disregard.”

Meredith reassured him: “It’s talking. OK it’s already happening around here.”

Sid then looked exasperated before saying “Oh my God” and walking off the set.

He asked: “Alright, what the f**k is going on here?”

The camera followed Sid walking off set while the crew giggled.
