Alec Baldwin pitches his family for reality television series

Actor Alec Baldwin has been “pitching a family reality show that would give an inside look at their life.”

Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria, have seven children and reportedly will only do a reality television show if “it was an authentic portrayal of who they are as a family.”

The Boss Baby star said on Tuesday evening during an interview at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards that a reality show about his family “would be comedy.”

Baldwin shared that a reality show from his New York home similar to Keeping Up With the Kardashians and The Osbournes interested him.

“One or two pitches we’ve made about our family and that reality show has all been so we could stay home and just work from home. I’m desperate to try to work from New York,” he told SiriusXM’s Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa.

He said he can longer enjoy traveling with the family entourage and prefers to be home.

“I need 12 plane tickets, you know, nannies, kids, my wife — I need like 11. They don’t even have 11 seats in the business class section of the plane,” he complained.

Baldwin hinted at plans for retiring from acting.

“I’ve been working less and less and less, and I’m home, and my wife and — we wanna travel the world with the kids,” Baldwin told Ripa.

He added, “I mean, I’ve done this for a long time, and I wanna have a private life.”

Baldwin’s wife famously came under fire in 2020 when it was discovered that she was allegedly fibbing a Spanish accent, pretending to have been born in Spain despite having been born as Hillary Hayward-Thomas in Boston, Massachusetts. She later apologized and said she “should have been more clear” about her American heritage. Baldwin has been embroiled in a manslaughter case in connection with the fatal 2021 shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in October 2021 on the set of the movie Rust. Hutchins died when Baldwin accidentally shot her and director Joel Souza while rehearsing a film scene with a live round in the gun. Baldwin has insisted he is innocent, claiming he was not responsible and did not pull the trigger during rehearsal.

Special prosecutors Kari T. Morrissey and Jason J. Lewis told journalist Emily Miller last month that “additional facts have come to light that we believe show Mr. Baldwin has criminal culpability in the death of Halyna Hutchins and the shooting of Joel Souza.”

Miller reported that Baldwin had left Hutchins and Souza bleeding on the floor of the movie set while he smoked and made calls outside.

“One of the ‘new facts’ that has ‘come to light’ is the trigger worked just fine,” Miller reported.

Baldwin’s case will be brought before a grand jury in mid-November, and last month, it was reported that New Mexico prosecutors intend to re-charge Baldwin with involuntary manslaughter.
