Seahawks 35-41 Cowboys, summary: score, stats, highlights | NFL Week 13 – AS USA

Game summary: Cowboys take the victory over Seahawks

Although the Cowboys trailed at home for the first time this season, in the end they were able to keep their undefeated home win streak. Their 41-25 comeback win over Seattle was their 14th consecutive win at home. And this time, they did so against a team with a winning record for the first time. Meanwhile, the Seahawks lost their third consecutive game and fell to 6-6.

It wasn’t always pretty

The game was filled with penalties, turnovers, quarterback sacks, and interceptions. Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott finished the game 29 of 41 for 299 yards, threetouchdownpasses, nointerceptions, and foursacks, Seahawks quarterback GenoSmith finished 23 of 41 for 334 yards, three touchdowns, one interception, and no sacks.

There were 19 total penalties on the game and both teams combined for 257yards in penalties, the most in one game this season.

But sometimes it was pretty

Prescott has now thrown 20 passing touchdowns over the last six games, the most in a six-game span in Cowboys history. WR CeeDee Lamb had 12 catches for 116 yards and a touchdown, and TE Jake Ferguson, WR Brandin Cooks, and RB Tony Pollard all contributed touchdowns of their own, too. Kicker Brandon Aubrey contribured three four goals to the mix, making a record 26 consecutive FGs to start his career.

Despite the Seahawks’ loss, they also looked way better on offense this week, with WR DK Metcalf catching six passes for 134 yards and three touchdowns (one of his which was a 73-yarder). Rookie Jaxon Smith-Njigba added 62 yards on seven catches.

At the end of the game, with 1:11 remaining, the Seahawks had a chance to go back and score with the Cowboys leading by 6, but LB Micah Parsons shot that chance down. His pressure on Smith on 4th down forced him to throw the ball to the ground and the Cowboys went on to win.

No punts!

Throughout the whole game, neither team punted the ball at any point, instead playing hard and intense and going for it on 4th down or simply getting close enough to attempt field goals. There have only been four other instances in the NFL in which neither team punted in a game.

What’s next?

Tonight’s game was the start of a difficult run of games for the Cowboys, playing teams with winning record for the next four weeks. They will play their NFC East rivals Philadelphia Eagles at home on Sunday, December 10.

The Seahawks will also face a division-leading rival/rematch in the NFC West when they face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, December 10.
