Mavs’ Luka Doncic moves up to 9th on NBA’s all-time triple-doubles list – The Dallas Morning News

Luka Doncic has another accolade to add to his growing list.

The Mavericks superstar recorded his 59th career triple-double Saturday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder, tying NBA legend Larry Bird for ninth on the league’s all-time list. Doncic finished the game with 36 points, 18 assists and 15 rebounds while the Mavericks fell short against the Thunder by a 126-120 score.

It was Doncic’s third triple-double of the season and his first since the month of October. He recorded 30-point triple-doubles against the San Antonio Spurs and Memphis Grizzlies at the start of the season, then narrowly missed the mark throughout November.

Doncic spearheaded the Mavericks’ late push against Oklahoma City on Saturday, helping Dallas go on a 30-0 scoring run to go up by six points with a little over four minutes left in regulation. The Thunder responded with clutch scoring from Jalen Williams.
