In NBA history, joining the 70-point club means being a part of an exclusive group in league history. Although the NBA’s inaugural season was in 1947-48, it wasn’t until the 1960-61 season that Elgin Baylor of the Los Angeles Lakers became the first player to score at least 70 in a game.
