NBA All-Star Weekend 2024 takes place from Feb. 16-18 in Indianapolis. Friday featured the Rising Stars event and Sunday showcases the annual All-Star Game, with Saturday featuring four high-profile events. The 2024 3-Point Contest features an eight-player field with two former 3-point champions in Damian Lillard and Karl-Anthony Towns in the field. In addition, Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton is participating in his home city and attempting to win the contest for the first time.
The 3-Point Contest at Lucas Oil Stadium is the second event of All-Star Saturday, with the overall festivities set to begin at 8 p.m. ET. Lillard is the betting favorite at +440, with Haliburton listed at +460 in the latest 2024 3-Point Contest odds. Trae Young’s odds have shortened to +480 and he’s followed by Donovan Mitchell at +650. Lauri Markkanen, Jalen Brunson and Towns are all listed at +700, with Malik Beasley getting the longest odds at +800. 2024 NBA 3-Point Contest preview
All eight players in the 3-point contest field are capable of winning the event, making it hard for the reigning champion to repeat in Lillard. Severance sees better value elsewhere than on Lillard, even with the seven-time All-NBA guard posing a real threat to win it again. Lillard is one of the most prolific shooters in history, ranking in the top five all-time in career 3-pointers, but there hasn’t been a repeat champion in the event since 2007-08 with Jason Kapono.
Lillard must also contend with Beasley, who has the highest 3-point percentage (44.9%) in the field this season.
