SLU Travels to McNeese for SLC Contest – Southeastern Louisiana University Athletics


HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University women’s tennis team will continue Southland Conference play with a 2 p.m. road match at McNeese Saturday.
 
Southeastern (6-8, 0-2 SLC) will be back in action for the first time in nearly two weeks when it takes on the host Cowgirls (15-1, 2-0 SLC).
 
Kate Oborina leads SLU with a 6-1 singles record this spring. Bente Bierma is 6-5 in singles play, while Pantachakorn Suanarsa has an even 5-5 mark. Suanarsa and Taisia Bolsova have teamed for a team-high five doubles victories.
 
McNeese is led by Anastasija Adeikyte, who boasts a team-best 13-0 singles record and is one of four Cowgirls with double-digit singles victories. Adeikyte and Arina Gamretkaia carry a team-best 15-1 doubles mark into Saturday’s match.
 
Following the trip to Lake Charles, the Lions will return home to close out the nonconference portion of its schedule. SLU will welcome St. Thomas for a 2:45 p.m. match Wednesday at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
