For the girlsâ singles, No. 1 Elise Bickford (E) won in straight sets without dropping a game (6-0, 6-0). No. 2 Olivia Erwin (E) won 6-2, 6-0, No. 3 Grace McDonald (C) won 6-2, 6-1, and No. 4 Madison Fish (C) won in three (6-3, 1-6, 6-4).

Chelan and Manson split
The Chelan High School (C) tennis team traveled down lake to meet the Manson Trojans (M) in a non-league matchup.
With competitive matches all around, the two programs split the night. The Manson boys won 3-2 and the Chelan girls won 3-2.
For the boysâ singles, No. 1 Ben Rasmussen (M) won 7-5, 6-4, No. 2 Ashton Fretwell (M) won 1-6, 6-2, 6-1, and No. 3 Cavan Willard (M) won 6-4, 6-4.

âManson’s way too talented for us to take down when we’re missing 4 of our 7 varsity boys,â said Chelan head coach Marty Rothlisberger. âCredit to the top of the Manson ladder for being clutch, and credit to Chelan’s deep ladder for winning those doubles matches as varsity fill-ins.â
For the girlsâ singles, No. 1 Maya Cowan (C) won 6-0, 6-1, No. 2 Karly Naranjo (M) won 6-2, 7-5, and No. 3 Alison Horner (C) won 6-1, 6-4.

âThis was the healthiest and most complete girls lineup we’ve had so far this year, and it’s a good thing because we needed everyone to play well to come out on top,â Rothlisberger said.
The Chelan girls and boys varsity teams are now both 3-2 on the young season.

A scoreless inning followed with Ike scoring a single run in the fourth inning but when Holben stepped to the plate at the top of the fifth, she cracked a solo homer to left field, putting the Wildcats back on track to score three more runs in the sixth and eight in the seventh for a dominant 20-6 win.
Holben led Eastmont after going 3-for-5 with two homers and six RBIs. Brittany Howe went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and Halle Radach went 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Howe pitched all seven innings with six hits, six runs, and five walks with 11 strikeouts.
Game 2
That performance only made the second game more efficient.
Eastmont won Game 2 in a 15-run shutout after scoring four, three, and eight runs within the first five innings. One hit in the fourth inning was a dinger from Howe, scoring two runs for the Wildcats.
Eastmont scored 15 runs on 17 hits while only giving up a single hit to the Cadets.
